Albania intensifies food safety inspections in schools and nurseries

Albanian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, announced that the National Food Authority (AKU) has intensified inspections in school canteens, kindergartens, and nurseries following the start of the new school year.

In the past week alone, 75 inspections have been conducted, including the collection of samples for laboratory analysis. Salla stated that appropriate measures are taken whenever deficiencies or violations are identified. The Minister emphasized that these controls will continue throughout the entire school year to ensure food operators strictly adhere to safety standards and requirements.
