Albania national team announces UEFA Nations League squad
Albania national team coach Rolando Maran has announced a 29-player squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures. The selection features several notable changes, including the return of veteran goalkeeper Etrit Berisha and players Rey Manaj, Ernest Muçi, and Marash Kumbulla following injury absences.
Two new players, Sabah Kerjota from Hearts and 19-year-old defender Samuele Sina from Union Brescia, have earned their first call-ups. Conversely, several prominent players from the previous era, including Armando Broja, Nedim Bajrami, and Jasir Asani, were left out of the squad.
Maran stated that the team's primary objective is to finish first in their Nations League group. He noted that while the squad may face limitations compared to other nations, he intends to rely on the current group of players to achieve results.
