Albania national team sees drop in average debutant age

An analysis of the Albania national football team reveals a significant shift in the age of debutants following the EURO 2016 tournament. Since that period, the average age of players making their first appearance for the national team has dropped to approximately 23 years and six months, compared to an average of roughly 25 years and four months for those who debuted prior to 2016.

While players like Mario Mitaj and Ramen Çepele have set records as some of the youngest debutants, the data also shows a trend of a more consolidated squad. Although the average age of newcomers has decreased, the overall frequency of new talent entering the squad has slowed, leading to questions regarding the long-term sustainability of these new players and the timing of the team's generational renewal.
