Albania readies new pitch at Air Albania Stadium for Euro U‑21 2027

Renovation work on the playing surface of Air Albania Stadium in Tirana is progressing on schedule. The project includes a complete rebuild of the field’s foundation, installation of a hybrid grass carpet and ongoing maintenance to meet UEFA’s technical standards. The upgraded pitch is expected to be fully operational by September, aligning with Albania’s preparations to co‑host the UEFA European Under‑21 Championship in 2027 alongside Serbia. The Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) views the modernised surface as a legacy investment that will support national team matches, the tournament finals and future international events.
