Albania to deploy intelligent traffic radars on 14 road axes
Starting January 1, Albania will implement a new traffic monitoring system using intelligent radars and advanced surveillance technology across approximately 200 kilometers of major road axes. The system is designed to identify and document driver violations through a centralized Traffic Monitoring Center, reducing the need for physical patrols.
The State Police have begun training personnel to monitor and analyze real-time data from these terrestrial, maritime, and aerial surveillance systems. This technological shift includes a planned salary increase for the officers assigned to this new structure, with reports suggesting monthly wages could reach between 1,500 and 1,800 euros.
