Albania weather forecast predicts rain and potential flooding

Albania is expected to experience unstable weather conditions with frequent rain showers through early next week. Meteorologist Tanja Porja reports that while showers will be most frequent in the north and northwest, short bursts of rain are expected across almost the entire country through Tuesday.

There is a specific risk of urban flooding in the Lezhë and Nënshkodra areas due to the high intensity of rainfall over short periods. A cold air mass from the north is expected to cause a gradual drop in temperatures starting Monday, with maximums potentially falling to 17°C and minimums in high mountain areas reaching 2-3°C.

Snowfall is forecasted for the Balkan region on Tuesday and Wednesday, specifically at altitudes between 1,800 and 2,000 meters. Northern Albania, Montenegro, and parts of Kosovo are identified as high-risk zones for these snowy conditions.
