Albanian deputies face criticism for political disconnection

Kikia suggested that recent public protests have delegitimized the absolute power of the Socialist Party, noting that officials now face significant negative feedback on social media.

This atmosphere of tension was highlighted by a verbal confrontation involving Socialist deputy Iris Luarasi in a shopping center. Observers note that while criticism of government transparency and corruption is a democratic necessity, the shift toward public intimidation and verbal aggression risks alienating moderate voters and shifting the focus away from substantive political issues.
