Albania exports rise 10.6% in July 2026

Albanian exports saw a significant increase in July 2026, rising by 10.6% compared to the same month in 2025, according to data from INSTAT. Total exports for the month reached 33.6 billion lekë.

The growth was primarily driven by sectors such as construction materials and metals, minerals, fuel, electricity, and machinery and equipment. Conversely, the textile and footwear sector, which accounts for 26.3% of total exports, continued a downward trend, experiencing a 13.8% decline in July.

For the first seven months of 2026, total exports reached 227 billion lekë, representing a 6.7% year-on-year increase. While construction and energy sectors provided positive momentum, the ongoing contraction in the garment and footwear industry remains a notable economic challenge.
