Albanian Football Association appoints Bernardino González Vázquez as refereeing director

The Albanian Football Association (FSHF) has officially introduced Bernardino González Vázquez as the new Director of the Refereeing Department. The appointment ceremony included FSHF President Geri Çipi and Tahir Kastrati, Chairman of the Albanian Football Referees Union.

González Vázquez brings extensive experience from high-level Spanish and European officiating, having served as a La Liga referee and a FIFA international referee. His career highlights include officiating significant European matches and managing the 2005 UEFA European Under-17 Championship final.

President Geri Çipi emphasized that professional, independent, and well-prepared officiating is a pillar of a high-quality championship. The association aims to utilize González Vázquez’s expertise to strengthen and develop the standards of refereeing within Albanian football.
