Albanian law enforcement: Over 200 officers receive crime investigation certification
More than 200 law enforcement professionals in Albania have been certified following the completion of specialized crime investigation training. The graduates, who are crime specialists from the Albanian State Police, successfully completed the Level 1 Crime Investigation Course at the Security Academy.
The training program was developed by the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) of the U.S. Department of Justice. According to the U.S. Embassy in Tirana, the initiative aims to strengthen investigative capacities, improve professional standards, and increase accountability within police work.
U.S. authorities noted that these programs are part of ongoing security and law enforcement cooperation between Albania and the United States. The training is intended to bolster joint efforts against organized crime, corruption, and other forms of transnational criminality to protect communities in both nations.
