Albanian officials debate healthcare goals and Hague court rulings

In the Albanian Parliament, Health Minister Klodiana Spahiu issued a challenge regarding medical infrastructure, stating she would resign if PET Scan services are not implemented by 2027. Spahiu addressed concerns regarding the continuity of health services, such as dialysis, clarifying that the state intends to assume administration of certain services upon the expiration of current contracts to ensure patient stability without transferring public competencies to private entities.

Separately, Elisa Spiropali criticized the recent decision by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague regarding former KLA leaders. Spiropali characterized the ruling as unjust and a dangerous precedent that could distort historical memory. She urged Albania and Kosovo to maintain a unified institutional voice in response to the decision.
