Meanwhile, Vice President Belind Këlliçi claimed that Yeffet, along with the Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ermal Nufi, is involved in a scheme for the international trafficking of weapons.

Leaked audio recordings released by former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj further expand the scandal. In these recordings, Yeffet is heard discussing the arms trade and expressing influence over Albania's strategic gas reserves in Vlora, suggesting he could facilitate access for foreign interests.
