Albanian opposition leader Sali Berisha alleges hidden officials attended secret Aruba meeting

Opposition chairman Sali Berisha accused the anti‑corruption agency SPAK of concealing the names of Albanian government officials who attended a controversial meeting in Aruba. He said Spanish authorities supplied a complete dossier on the gathering, but SPAK released only the businessmen’s names.

Berisha claimed the meeting involved Prime Minister Edi Rama and other senior figures, describing it as a criminal act linked to drug‑cartel dealings. He demanded that the officials’ identities be disclosed, accusing the government of protecting high‑level criminals.

The accusations were made ahead of a SPAK hearing, with Berisha urging the public to learn who “the long Rama” and other officials were that travelled from Tirana to Aruba.
