Albanian PM Edi Rama says God, sex and EU will be unpredictable after accession
At the EU‑Western Balkans summit in Montenegro, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said that when Albania joins the European Union there are three things that cannot be predicted: God, sex and the EU.
Rama warned that the accession process is moving too slowly and urged EU institutions to adopt a merit‑based, step‑by‑step approach without further delays, noting that no concrete plan currently exists and there is no cause for alarm.
He also responded to criticism of a tourism project linked to his son‑in‑law, Donald Trump’s family, insisting that protests are premature because no approved plan is in place and that leading international experts have been mobilised for the initiative.
