Albanian police arrest 50‑year‑old drug trafficker for Italy extradition

Police in Durrës detained a 50‑year‑old Albanian citizen, identified as G. L., who had been sentenced by the Italian Court of Appeal in Rome to six years in prison for drug‑trafficking offenses. The individual had been declared internationally wanted by Italian authorities. Interpol’s Tirana office, working with Italian law‑enforcement counterparts, is handling the extradition procedures.
