Albania police arrest Bledar Cafi in drug trafficking operation

Under the direction of SPAK, Albanian authorities have concluded a major police operation codenamed ‘Muri i Lartë’ (High Wall) targeting an organized crime group suspected of international drug trafficking.

During the operation, which involved raids in Shkodër and Tirana, police arrested 50-year-old Bledar Cafi at his residence in Shkodër. Cafi, who has a prior criminal record including a conviction in Italy for large-scale drug trafficking, faces charges of drug trafficking within a structured criminal group.

Authorities also issued an arrest warrant for 43-year-old Indrit Dokle, who remains at large after evading police during searches of his properties. The investigation, which is linked to the Rraja group, has now resulted in a total of 17 individuals being subject to security measures. The operation involved multiple specialized units, including the RENEA Special Forces and the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH).
