Albanian Police Director Skënder Hita visits officers in Lezhë, Shkodër, and Malësi e Madhe

Albanian State Police Director General Skënder Hita conducted a series of visits to Lezhë, Shkodër, and Malësi e Madhe to commend officers for their recent operational successes and personal sacrifices.

In Lezhë, Hita praised police personnel for preventing two serious criminal incidents and managing an investigation involving explosive materials. He emphasized the need for increased focus on school security and combating drug sales near educational institutions.

In Malësi e Madhe, Hita met with inspectors Hilmi Smajlaj and Samet Bajri, who sustained knife wounds while neutralizing a German citizen during an intervention in Pjetroshan. The individual had reportedly attacked a citizen's vehicle with gasoline.

Additionally, Hita visited Deputy Commissioner Fasli Rama in Shkodër, who was injured while managing a protest. Hita commended Rama's long-standing service and his efforts to protect public and private property while ensuring the right to peaceful protest.
