Albanian Police Intercept Armed Yacht Near Palasë

On the evening of the reported incident, around 21:00, Albanian police received a tip that a yacht sailing off Palasë was possibly firing firearms into the air. Units from the Border Police, Maritime Police, Delta Force, and local police stations in Himarë and Dhërmi pursued the vessel and stopped it near Himarë. Officers boarded the yacht, detained four men – B. C. (31), L. H. (31), A. K. (49) and P. Gj. (60) – and conducted a search that found no illegal weapons or contraband.

The investigation continues under the direction of the Himarë police commissioner and the prosecutor’s office. Statements are being taken from the detained individuals and witnesses, forensic examinations are underway, and the case will be referred to the first‑instance court in Vlorë for further legal action.
