Albanian police rescue three people stranded at sea during storm

Police forces in Albania successfully rescued three individuals who became stranded at sea due to deteriorating weather conditions in the Palasa area of Vlorë. The group, who were using a canoe, were unable to return to shore because of heavy rain and intense storms.

The Border Police and the Maritime Police Unit intervened after noticing the individuals were at risk of drowning. Authorities used a patrol boat to reach the canoe and bring the three people safely back to land. All three were reported to be in good health following the operation. Police have issued an appeal for vacationers and boat users to exercise extreme caution and avoid entering the sea during hazardous atmospheric and maritime conditions.
