Albanian survivor Elijona marks 5‑year anniversary of Croatia bus crash
Five years after a severe bus accident in Slavonski Brod, Croatia, that killed ten Albanian citizens on 25 July 2021, Elijona, who was 14 at the time, posted a heartfelt tribute on social media. In the message she mourns her mother and her sister Linda, who both died in the crash, noting that she is now 19—the same age her sister was when her life ended. She writes, “I was only 14 when you left us. Now I am 19… just as you were, Linda, when your life was cut short.”
