Albania's Economy Minister Delina Ibrahimaj Launches ‘Double Your Business’ Investment Support Program

Economy and Innovation Minister Delina Ibrahimaj visited a confectionery enterprise to introduce the government‑backed “Double Your Business” scheme aimed at expanding investment, production and job creation. The program offers small and medium‑sized firms and startups loans at preferential interest rates of 2‑3%, well below market levels, combined with a sovereign guarantee covering up to 70% of the collateral.

Funded by a €250 million pool from the Albanian state and the Bank of Albania, the initiative also provides technical assistance for business‑plan preparation and project design. Applications are handled through participating second‑tier banks that assess projects targeting capacity expansion, technology upgrades and new employment opportunities. Ibrahimaj emphasized that each new investment strengthens the economy and competitiveness of Albania.
