Albania is currently battling widespread wildfires, with the Ministry of Defense reporting 27 outbreaks within a 24-hour period. Of these, five remain active and two are under monitoring. Emergency response efforts have mobilized 371 operational personnel and 42 firefighting vehicles, supported by 153 members of the Armed Forces, four helicopters, and an Air Tractor aircraft.

A major fire in the Krujë region, specifically in the Abaz and Krastë areas, required intensive intervention from both ground and air forces, including the use of Bayraktar TB2 drones and thermal cameras. While the fire in Krujë was brought under control, an immediate evacuation was ordered for the Barabit-Lluban area to protect residents. Prime Minister Edi Rama praised the heroism of the firefighters, military, and police, noting that the fire resulted in the destruction of only one warehouse and caused no casualties.

Authorities have indicated that most of the fires are likely caused by human activity, including both accidental and criminal acts. Police have already arrested a suspect in connection with an intentional fire. Other active or monitored sites include Vilëz in Kurbin, Dajt, and Priskë e Madhe. The National Civil Protection Agency continues to coordinate monitoring and response efforts to protect lives and property.
