Albania's Parliament to Hold Multiple Interpellations with PM Edi Rama as EU Accession Push Intensifies

Prime Minister Edi Rama called on citizens to back Albania’s European Union integration, stating that supporting the Socialist Party aligns with the nation’s strategic goal of EU membership. He warned that forces both inside and outside the country oppose the accession process.

On the same day, the Albanian parliament scheduled a plenary session featuring six urgent interpellations addressed to Rama and senior ministers, including the interior, infrastructure and energy, and foreign affairs portfolios. The deputies, mainly from the Democratic Party, sought explanations on various policy issues. The agenda also included two draft laws: one to ratify a social‑security agreement with Poland and another concerning products of animal origin.
