Albatro NexGen defeats Camerano 36-30 in Serie A Silver victory
Teamnetwork Albatro NexGen secured their first seasonal victory in the Serie A Silver handball championship by defeating Camerano 36-30 in Siracusa.
After a balanced first half where Albatro led 16-14, coach Lorenzo Martelli implemented a man-to-man defensive strategy against Camerano's Zagaria. This tactical shift, combined with a strong performance from goalkeeper Gianmarco Fontana, who recorded at least fifteen saves, allowed Albatro to pull ahead in the second half.
Sortino led the scoring for Albatro with nine goals, while Giuffrida and Pivato contributed five and four goals respectively. Coach Martelli noted that the win provides a significant motivational boost for the young squad as they continue their development toward Serie A Gold.
