Alberobello hosts 20th edition of historical reenactment

Alberobello is hosting the 20th edition of "La Notte dei Briganti," an immersive historical reenactment set in the Murgia forest. Organized by the Sylva Tour and Didactics association and supported by the Ministry of Culture, the event coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Trulli of Alberobello being recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The reenactment will take place on August 8, 9, 15, and 16 at Masseria Calmerio. Participants will follow a 1.2-kilometer woodland path featuring seven theatrical scenes depicting the Murgia region in the late 19th century. This year's program focuses on the July 27, 1862, attack on the National Guard outpost by a band led by the brigand Pasquale Romano.

The production features professional actor Ernesto D’Argenio, known for his role in the Netflix series "Briganti."
