Albert Gudmundsson undergoes injury tests after shoulder injury

Lazio attacker Albert Gudmundsson sustained a left shoulder injury during Iceland’s match against Estonia. The injury occurred approximately thirty minutes into the game following a heavy fall where the player landed with his full body weight on his left arm.

Gudmundsson expressed his frustration on social media, stating, “the match didn't last long but we move forward.” While there were initial fears of a fracture, there is growing optimism within Lazio regarding the severity of the injury. Reports suggest the shoulder may have dislocated and then repositioned itself.

The player is expected to return to Rome on Wednesday to undergo diagnostic tests to determine the exact extent of the injury. If results are positive, he may be able to return for the resumption of the league championship, potentially requiring pain-relieving injections.
