Albert Heijn lengthens loyalty stamp collection period from September
From 7 September, Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn will award one loyalty stamp for every €2 spent on groceries, instead of the previous €1 threshold. The digital stamp book contains 490 stamps, meaning shoppers will now need to spend €49 – twice the amount required before – to fill it. A full book can be redeemed for €52, either through online purchases or in‑store cash‑out.
The change follows earlier moves by Albert Heijn: cash payouts for stamps were stopped years ago and paper stamp books were discontinued six years earlier. The new policy will double the time required for customers to complete their loyalty book.
