Czech transport updates: new rail line and one‑way Radlická Street
From 15 December 2025 a newly double‑tracked railway line between Střelice and Zastávka will open, allowing regular train services and prompting adjustments to bus timetables across the region. The change aims to shift commuter traffic from congested highways to rail, with some bus routes reduced but coordinated to serve peak periods and connect with the new trains.
Effective 1 September 2026, a section of Radlická Street in Prague (between Ostrovského and Plzeňská) will operate one‑way towards Za Ženskými domovy on weekdays from 14:00 to 19:00. The measure results from a compromise between the city, the Prague Transport Company and the ROPID association, addressing traffic impacts from earlier reconstruction works and will be monitored for future adjustments.
