Albert Philipsen hospitalized after severe training crash
Lidl-Trek cyclist Albert Philipsen has been hospitalized following a severe training accident. Medical examinations confirmed three small fractures to his left wrist, elbow, and shoulder.
The 19-year-old Danish rider has already faced a significant setback this season, having been sidelined for months following a high-speed crash in May. Despite the injuries, the team confirmed that Philipsen has since been discharged from the hospital.
Philipsen, recognized as a rising talent in the WorldTour with notable performances in the Amstel Gold Race and Tour de Romandie, faces an uncertain timeline for his return to competition.
