Albert Pujols emerges as candidate for Houston Astros manager

Former baseball star Albert Pujols has interviewed for the Houston Astros managerial position, sparking debate among analysts regarding his transition from legendary player to coach.

Pujols, who retired following the 2022 season, has gained recent managerial experience leading teams in the Dominican Republic and managing the Dominican Republic national team during the World Baseball Classic. While his deep knowledge of the game and leadership presence in the clubhouse are cited as strengths, some analysts question whether his exceptional natural talent might make it difficult for him to communicate complex skills to less gifted players.

Former Astros player and World Series champion Josh Reddick has expressed support for the possibility, suggesting Pujols could be an ideal figure to provide new direction and revitalize the team's energy.
