Albert Rijera warns Crvena zvezda players ahead of transfer window

Following Crvena zvezda’s 5-1 victory over Mladost Lučani, head coach Albert Rijera emphasized the high standards required for players to maintain their positions in the squad. The Spanish strategist noted that while the team showed significant improvement in the second half of the match, players must remain disciplined and tactically aware at all times.

Rijera stated that squad selection is determined by player performance and adherence to tactical requirements rather than personal preference, noting, “Players place themselves in the starting eleven. Whoever best fulfills the tactical requirements — that one will play.”

Looking ahead to the winter transfer window in December, Rijera issued a warning to the roster, suggesting that those unable to meet the club’s high demands may be sidelined or replaced to ensure the team remains competitive for upcoming Champions League qualifications. He also expressed gratitude to club official Zvezdan Terzić for his continued support.
