Pierre Achille Webo appointed USL Dunkerque head coach

USL Dunkerque has appointed former Cameroon international Pierre Achille Webo as its new head coach following the departure of Albert Sánchez. Sánchez has left the French Ligue 2 club to join the Spanish second-division side UD Las Palmas.

Webo, who previously served as an assistant coach at Dunkerque, takes over the role for the first time in his professional coaching career. The 44-year-old former striker has prior coaching experience in Turkey with clubs including Istanbul Başakşehir and Ankaragücü. The club has opted for internal continuity to maintain its objectives in Ligue 2.

Dunkerque currently sits in 10th place in the league standings. Webo’s first assignment follows a recent match against Rodez, where the team suffered a defeat.
