Albert-Schweitzer-Schule relocates for major renovations
The Albert-Schweitzer-Schule in Dorsten is relocating to a temporary site at Marler Straße to facilitate major renovations. The school community will move from its current location on Glück-Auf-Straße for approximately two to three years.
The renovation project aims to modernize and expand the facility to meet the growing demand for all-day school services and legal requirements for primary school childcare. The city plans to transform the school into a cluster school, featuring grouped classrooms around shared learning centers, additional differentiation rooms, and new multifunctional spaces.
To manage the transition, the city is providing bus transportation to move students between the original site and the temporary location at the former Geschwister-Scholl-Schule. Once construction is complete, the school will return to its modernized building on Glück-Auf-Straße.
