Alberta boys from summer Amber Alert found safe in West Kelowna

Two young boys, aged four and six, who were the subject of a summer Amber Alert in Alberta, have been found safe in West Kelowna, British Columbia. The children had been missing since July 7 after being taken from the hamlet of Valhalla Centre.

Following a two-month investigation, the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit located the children at a rural property. The boys are reported to be in good health and are currently under the care of British Columbia child protection services pending transfer back to Alberta.

The boys’ mother, Krista Morrison, and her partner, Daniel Ludwig, have been arrested and charged with contravening a custody order. The investigation involved coordinated efforts between multiple RCMP units across Alberta and British Columbia.
