Trump announces Greenland resource exploration; Google launches Gemini 4 Argon

Donald Trump has announced plans for extensive oil, gas, and mineral exploration in Greenland. In a post on Truth Social, Trump highlighted the Arctic territory’s resource potential, stating that the amount of easily available oil is far greater than almost anywhere else in the world. This move follows a security agreement involving Denmark and Greenland.

Separately, Google has launched Gemini 4 Argon, a new flagship AI model designed for complex professional workflows, including coding, science, and cybersecurity. The model features a 1 million token context window and is available via the Gemini API. Google reports that the model has shown significant productivity gains in engineering tasks, such as assisting the Chrome team with large-scale code refactoring.
