Alberta government to introduce new legislative bills
The Alberta government is set to introduce more than a dozen new bills as Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) return to session. The expected legislative package, consisting of approximately 13 to 14 bills, will address various topics including school report cards, auto insurance, ticket reselling, and data centres.
Public discussion has also emerged regarding the costs associated with a recent Alberta referendum. Critics have questioned the expenditure of approximately $130 million on the vote, suggesting the funds could have been directed toward other provincial priorities such as new hospitals or schools.
