Alberto Brunelli, ceramic industry leader, passes away

Alberto Brunelli, the 59-year-old CEO of The Artceram and a prominent figure in the Civita Castellana ceramic district, has passed away at a hospital in Perugia.

Brunelli was recognized for transforming the family business into an international brand by merging industrial tradition with design and innovation. He is credited with helping redefine the sanitary ceramics sector through the creation of iconic bathroom furniture pieces. Under his leadership, The Artceram expanded its presence in global markets and received industry accolades, including the ADI Ceramics & Bathroom Design Award at Cersaie in 2024.

Giampiero Patrizi, President of Federlazio Ceramica, expressed deep condolences, describing Brunelli as a visionary entrepreneur and an indispensable reference point for the industrial district who significantly contributed to the global success of ‘Made in Italy’ ceramics.
