Alberto Contador to headline Gran Fondo Jaén Paraíso Interior

Former professional cyclist Alberto Contador will be the guest of honor at the fifth edition of the Gran Fondo Jaén Paraíso Interior. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 13, 2027, in Úbeda and its surrounding areas.

The Gran Fondo, which features the ‘Caminos de Olivos’ route, expects to host over a thousand participants. The 2027 course will cover 118 kilometers with a total elevation gain of 1,640 meters, including 26.4 kilometers of unpaved ‘sterrato’ sections.

Organizers, including Pascual Momparler, stated that Contador’s presence is a significant step in growing the project. The event will include a tribute to the former Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, and Vuelta a España winner for his professional career and his ongoing contributions to the sport. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend a gala dinner with the cycling legend.
