Alberto Mazzuca, prominent Italian economic journalist, dies at 84

Italian journalist and writer Alberto Mazzuca has passed away in Milan at the age of 84. He began his professional career at the Carlino Forlì newsroom before moving to Milan to pursue a distinguished career in national media.

Mazzuca held prominent roles at several major publications, including Il Giornale di Indro Montanelli, Il Sole 24 Ore, Espresso, La Voce, Il Giorno, and Avvenire. He was also a co-founder of Italia Oggi alongside Marco Borsa.

Known for his expertise in economic journalism, Mazzuca authored numerous books detailing the history of Italian industry and key economic figures. His notable works include studies on the Rizzoli family, the Ferruzzi dynasty, and the history of Alfa Romeo, as well as historical accounts such as ‘Mussolini e Nenni. Amici e Nemici’.
