Feijóo and Ayuso signal PP unity in Getafe amid Ceuta crisis

Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader of the Partido Popular (PP), and Isabel Díaz Ayuso, President of the Community of Madrid, held a joint political event in Getafe to signal party unity and launch their campaign toward the 2027 elections.

Feijóo focused his critique on Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, accusing him of disregarding state institutions such as the Congress, Senate, Judiciary, and the Monarchy. He also heavily criticized the government's handling of the migration crisis in Ceuta, alleging a one-month delay in declaring the situation a matter of national security interest. Feijóo demanded that Defense Minister Margarita Robles allow the Director of the CNI to testify before the Official Secrets Commission to provide transparency regarding the events in Ceuta.

Ayuso also directed sharp criticism toward Sánchez, accusing him of being obsessed with her and criticizing the government's management of the Ceuta crisis, which she claimed was predictable. The event served as a strategic demonstration of strength for the PP as they prepare for upcoming regional and municipal contests.
