Alberto Paredes proposes Callao regional health network modernization

Alberto Paredes, a candidate for the Regional Government of Callao, has proposed a “shock plan” to address deficiencies in first-level health establishments. The pediatrician noted that many centers currently lack the basic equipment necessary to provide adequate care, a situation that disproportionately affects vulnerable families.

Paredes’ proposal focuses on strengthening prevention and bringing medical services closer to residents through coordination with neighborhood associations. Key priorities include decentralized health campaigns for early detection, specifically targeting early childhood health, anemia, and malnutrition.

The plan also aims to modernize the regional health network and improve working conditions for medical and assistance personnel in high-need areas by providing proper equipment and strengthening primary care to prevent the aggravation of patient conditions.
