Alberto Surra extends with Motocorsa Ducati for 2027

Italian rider Alberto Surra has officially confirmed he will remain with the Motocorsa Ducati team for the 2027 WorldSBK season. The announcement follows a breakout year for the rookie, who transitioned to the WorldSBK category after competing in World Supersport.

Surra’s recent performances have highlighted his growing potential, including a podium finish in the Superpole Race at Cremona and a third-place finish in the Race 1 main event at the Estoril Circuit in Portugal. Motocorsa team manager Lorenzo Mauri expressed satisfaction with the decision, citing the importance of continuity and the mutual trust built during Surra’s first year in the championship.

Surra expressed enthusiasm about the extension, stating he looks forward to improving his results alongside the team, which he described as a “second family.”
