Albie-Junior Thomas completes Three Peaks Challenge at age nine
Albie-Junior Thomas, a nine-year-old climber from Holywell, Wales, has completed the Three Peaks Challenge alongside his father, Daniel Thomas. The duo finished the rigorous trek—which involves scaling the highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales—in 22 hours and 30 minutes.
Albie-Junior, who has used a prosthesis since having his left foot amputated at 15 months old, has a history of mountaineering. He reached the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) at age four, Ben Nevis at age five, and Scafell Pike at age six.
Following the achievement, Albie-Junior was invited to Windsor Castle to meet Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, after his father reached out to her. The meeting occurred after the Princess completed the same challenge earlier in the year.
