Albin Vidović, Croatian Paralympian, passes away

Croatian para-athlete Albin Vidović has passed away following a long and difficult illness. A prominent member of the Atletski klub Sokol Bjelovar, Vidović was a distinguished competitor in throwing disciplines, including shot put, discus, and javelin.

Vidović represented Croatia on several major international stages. At the 2011 World Championships for persons with disabilities in New Zealand, he secured fifth place in javelin, seventh in discus, and ninth in shot put. The pinnacle of his career was competing in the 2012 London Paralympic Games, where he achieved a seventh-place finish in the discus throw.

In his home city of Bjelovar, his athletic achievements were widely recognized. He was named the third-best athlete with a disability in Bjelovar in 2012 and placed second in the same category in 2014.
