Albinea man reported for selling 211 stolen coins

A 59-year-old man in Albinea, Italy, has been reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Reggio Emilia for receiving stolen goods. The investigation began after a numismatics enthusiast purchased 211 valuable coins for 3,000 euros in cash.

After posting photos of the collection on social media, the buyer was alerted by experts and other users that the coins might be stolen. The Carabinieri of Albinea subsequently confirmed that the collection, which has an estimated historical and commercial value of 15,000 euros, was stolen during a previous theft in Parma.

The seller had allegedly claimed the coins were part of his own personal collection. The case is currently in the preliminary investigation phase.
