Albino Reverberi dies at 94 after career in politics and volunteering

Albino ‘Bino’ Reverberi has passed away at the age of 94 in Novellara. A figure deeply involved in both political and humanitarian sectors, Reverberi was a former regional leader of the Italian Communist Party (PCI).

In his later years, he dedicated himself to volunteer work with the Red Cross, serving as an ambulance driver and eventually as the president of the association. His political history included a period of imprisonment in Reggio after being detained for protesting the ‘Truffa’ law, an incident for which Nilde Iotti intervened to secure his release.

Reverberi, who worked in the agricultural sector and led a rural cooperative, is survived by his wife Antonietta, their children, siblings, and grandchildren.
