Albino Santos de Lima sentenced to 30 more years for murder in Maceió

Albino Santos de Lima, identified as a serial killer in Maceió, has been sentenced to an additional 30 years in prison for the murder of 21-year-old Mikaele Leite da Silva. This latest ruling by the 9th Criminal Court of Maceió brings his total accumulated prison sentence to over 234 years.

The prosecution established that the killing, which occurred in October 2023, was motivated by the victim's refusal of a sexual proposition made via a social media live stream. Prosecutors successfully refuted defense claims of mental insanity, presenting evidence that the defendant maintained a digital catalog of “trophies” consisting of photos and execution dates of his victims.

Following the verdict, the jury recognized the qualifying circumstances of the crime. Lima, who has been in custody since 2024, has faced multiple previous convictions for murder, including a 29-year sentence handed down in May for the death of José Ilso Siqueira Filho.
