Albion Online launches Dragonfire expansion with new dragons

Sandbox Interactive has released ‘Dragonfire’, a major content update for the fantasy sandbox MMORPG Albion Online. The expansion introduces dragons to the game world for the first time, featuring a new high-difficulty PvE challenge against the Fire Dragon, Azaryon, located within the Dragon Sanctuary.

Players can explore the newly added Ancient Lands, a region accessible via portals that accommodate solo players, small groups, or expeditions of up to 20 people. Exploration involves navigating floating islands, defeating enemies, and collecting keystones to progress toward the Drake Islands and the Dragon Sanctuary. Successful players may earn rewards such as Waystone Fragments or a Drake Egg, which can be developed into a Fire Drake mount.

The update is available across PC, Xbox Series X|S, Android, and iOS. To celebrate the launch, the developers are hosting the ‘Royal Hunt’ creator event through October 12, where content creators compete in various missions, including dragon hunting, for community rewards and special prizes.
