Albury and Temora secure rugby league premierships

The Group 9 rugby league grand finals concluded with victories for both Albury and Temora in their respective divisions.

In the reserve grade grand final, the Albury Thunder secured an emotional six-point victory over Temora to claim the premiership. After falling short in previous years, Albury established an early lead with tries from Andrew Smith and Jordan Ercegovic. Despite a late push from Temora, a try by Noah Stead helped Albury maintain their lead to finish 18-12.

In the leaguetag division, the Temora Dragons earned their fourth premiership in five years by defeating Brothers 18-6. Captain-coach Emily Perrot led the scoring with a try, followed by a score from Sophie Bowley to give Temora a 12-0 halftime lead. Molly McCrone added another try in the second half to secure the win, marking a successful season for the Dragons despite earlier challenges with player availability.
