Alcañiz and Delicias host community aquatic and sporting events

Local communities in Alcañiz, Spain, and Delicias, Mexico, recently hosted aquatic events to promote sports and social cohesion.

In Alcañiz, the local government inaugurated a new 25-meter heated swimming pool with a festive water party featuring giant slides and inflatables. The facility includes six lanes, a depth of 2 to 2.20 meters, and is fully accessible for people with reduced mobility, featuring ramps and specialized elevators. The venue is equipped for professional competitions with electronic timing systems and standardized starting blocks.

In Delicias, the fourth edition of Swim Night took place at the Delicias Sports Center, drawing 240 swimmers and over 600 spectators. The event, organized by the Municipal Institute of Sport and Youth (INMUDEJ), featured live music and inclusive participation, including individuals receiving physical therapy. The event aimed to foster a healthy, active society through community-based sports engagement.
